As a Risk Management - Wholesale Data Management Analyst, you will be at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong, resilient, and forward looking. You will be part of a global team, interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders, to define and implement processes and capabilities for data governance to support compliance with the Firmwide Data Management policies and standards, as well as various Regulatory requirements, while also bringing value to the Business. We are on a multi-year journey to achieve best-in-class Data Management, and we are looking for a motivated quick learner to join the team. You will utilize your experience across Data Management, Wholesale Risk, and Technology, while also enabling expanding the breadth and depth of your expertise. You will be working across Wholesale Risk, other Business Functions, and Firmwide to helping define the requirements for the metadata to be captured and related operational processes for data collection, as well as functionality of the tooling to capture and evergreen this metadata and implement analytics and visualization.
Job Responsibilities
Manage Data Governance, as well as the oversight of the overall data risk management activities via controls and metrics
Practice Data Quality, analysis and remediation of issues related to data accuracy/completeness/timeliness
Assess Data Protection and types of data that require restricted access
Assess Data Use and eligibility for data sourcing by consumers
Assess Data Storage localization requirement that require restricted data access
Define appropriate retention periods for the types of the data for Data Retention and Destruction
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
2 plus years of work experience with focus within data management and financial services
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Information Systems or other related disciplines required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; intellectual curiosity with attention to detail and ability to earn quickly to assimilate business and technical knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective, credible relationships with colleagues as well as business and technology partners
Effective written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with PowerPoint basics and storytelling
Experience with Wholesale Risk management related applications/tools
Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
Wholesale risk management a plus
Conceptual understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL will be advantageous
Experience with business intelligence solutions, such as Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, is a plus
Finance related bachelor's degree preferred
