Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern for the IT TBM OCM CoE.

This job involves working as a(n) business analyst supporting strategic communications and organizational change management (OCM) for IT.

This position will be Hybrid.

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

Assist in OCM Initiatives : Support the planning and execution of change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, impact analysis, and the creation of resources that guide employees through transitions within the organization.

Develop and Manage Communication Content : Draft, edit, and design communication materials for various channels (e.g., emails, presentations, newsletters) to ensure clear, consistent messaging that aligns with organizational goals and supports project success.

Conduct Research and Analyze Feedback : Gather and analyze feedback from employees and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and OCM activities, providing insights that help improve future initiatives and promote continuous engagement.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Business or Communications and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the Fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration. Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

Preferred:

• 3.0 GPA

• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise, and engaging manner tailored to various audiences and communication channels.

• Familiarity with Change Management Principles: Basic knowledge or coursework in change management, organizational behavior, or related fields to understand the principles behind effective OCM practices.

• Experience with Digital Communication Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint) for creating engaging communication materials.

• Analytical and Research Skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations for communication effectiveness and OCM impact.

• Adaptability and Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to engage in various aspects of OCM and strategic communications, demonstrating flexibility and an open mindset in a dynamic environment.

• Team Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
