What You'll Get To Do:

Are you passionate about technology and building strong partnerships? As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact (SPoC) for assigned Channel Partners, working closely with them to drive success in the dynamic world of consumer electronics.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across your partners’ organizations, including buyers, merchandise planners, marketing teams, and executives. Your mission will be to strengthen relationships, strategically position PCEC products, and maximize sell-through performance.

Leverage your industry knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, provide insights on market trends, and deliver solutions that align with both our partners’ goals and the evolving needs of the market. Account Management & Sales Execution

  • Achieve sales targets and track performance against expectations by analyzing results, identifying trends, and recommending actionable strategies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships as the primary point of contact for account personnel, managing and resolving issues with internal PCEC resources.

  • Plan and execute account-specific strategies, including promotional initiatives and product placement, to maximize sell-through and channel success.

  • Conduct regular audits of accounts, including physical store visits, eCommerce reviews, and evaluations of other sales platforms, ensuring proper representation of Panasonic products and promotions.

  • Provide product training and support for Channel Partner staff (e.g., sales teams) to strengthen their ability to promote and sell Panasonic products effectively.

  • Manage account setup processes, including onboarding new dealers/accounts, setting up new items, and coordinating samples.

Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Maintain six-month forward forecasts, working closely with Demand and Merchandising teams to ensure forecast accuracy and alignment, especially during the three-month lock period.

  • Detect discrepancies between sales results and forecasts; collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute corrective measures.

  • Plan and execute promotional roadmaps with Channel Partners in collaboration with Marketing and Merchandising teams.

  • Support annual program negotiations and secure necessary stakeholder approvals for key initiatives.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate account success, such as sales growth, promotional ROI, and channel compliance.

Sales Operations & Administration

  • Resolve operational issues, including orders, credits, backorders, allocations, pricing discrepancies, and returns.

  • Act as the administrator for channel partner portals and generate ad-hoc reports requested by leadership.

  • Monitor and address Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) compliance issues as needed.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of orders and deliveries.

  • Collaborate with Service and Customer Service teams to resolve any product quality or performance issues, as needed.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred).

  • Equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree may be considered, especially in sales or account management.

  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally within the consumer electronics industry or a related field (e.g., technology, retail, or eCommerce).

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing accounts with measurable success.

  • Experience working with retailers, eCommerce platforms, and/or channel partners, including understanding of promotional strategies and product placement.

  • Strong understanding of sales analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics.

  • Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration, including working with Marketing, Merchandising, and Logistics teams.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools, sales reporting, and account management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of consumer electronics product lifecycles, trends, and competition is a significant advantage.

  • Account Management: Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with Channel Partners, including retailers and eCommerce platforms.

  • Sales Strategy: Proven ability to achieve sales targets, develop promotional plans, and drive revenue growth.

  • Data Analysis: Skilled in interpreting sales trends, forecasting, and identifying actionable insights.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in resolving account issues and implementing effective solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong teamwork with internal teams like Marketing, Merchandising, and Demand Planning.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analytics.

  • Familiarity with retail and eCommerce analytics platforms.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for presenting, negotiating, and managing stakeholders.

  • Training: Ability to deliver product training and support for Channel Partner teams.

Industry-Specific Skills

  • Knowledge of consumer electronics trends and promotional strategies for retail and online channels.

  • Understanding of MAP compliance and its enforcement.

Other Requirements

  • Remote based position

  • Requires up to 25% domestic travel

The wage range of $70,000 - $100,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
