The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Section of Cytopathology in the Division of Anatomic Pathology as the Director of Cytopathology. The section is responsible for directing cytopathology laboratory services at University Hospital - the school's 519 bed tertiary care core teaching hospital. The successful candidate will be the leader of the Cytopathology section, providing technical innovation and oversight and consulting with clinical staff, will participate actively in the educational programs of the Department teaching medical students, residents and fellows, and will be expected to engage in productive research activities. In addition, participation on the surgical pathology and autopsy services will be required; subspecialty expertise in an area of surgical pathology, such as head and neck pathology, ophthalmic pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, breast pathology, thoracic pathology, etc. is desirable.To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae, a letter outlining your interests and experience and the names of three (3) references (references will not be contacted prior to selection of the candidate as a finalist) to:Valerie A. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
An MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification in anatomic pathology and cytopathology. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and academic experience. Women and diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
