As part of FM Transformation Integrated Projections, the End-to-End Modeling team continues transformation to utilize a single vendor platform (PolySystems) to support all use cases for more products, supplemented by open-source modeling capabilities to enhance processes and testing via automation and scale. This Associate Actuary role will join one of the agile teams responsible for inforce liability model conversion, core capability support, and/or new capability initiative for both domestic and global products under integrated modeling architecture.
We are looking for driven, intellectually curious leaders with the technical aptitude to quickly grasp vendor systems to make significant contributions in a short timeframe. In this role you will have direct influence over both our development process and model architecture to create operational and foundational value through executing on critical model features and increasing automation around our development, testing and deployment process.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Develop and test PolySystems for Individual Life, Institutional Retirement (e.g. pension risk transfer), and/or LTC products and regulatory requirements (e.g. Targeted Improvements, PBR,) under multiple use cases (e.g. valuation, projection, forecast, and stress testing)
Lean into agile best practices to drive culture of technical excellence, focus on value, and prioritization.
Identify and champion process improvements to drive material operational efficiency via automation and build foundation capabilities for scale.
What youll need:
Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field
4 years of actuarial modeling experience
Highly self-motivated, quick learning individual adaptable to change
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong team player willing to perform in roles that assist as well as lead other resources (more junior and/or offshore) through the execution of work
Itd be a plus if you had:
Experience with PolySystems, Python, SQL, and/or PowerBI
ASA Actuarial credential

The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
