Posting Summary | The Department of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical school is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the Director for the Division of Liver Disease and Transplant Hepatology. This physician leader serves as the Medical Director for the Transplant Hepatology program at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. In this role the Director will oversee all aspects of management of liver disease patients and of the pre and post liver transplant patients while working collaboratively with the Surgical Director of Transplant Hepatology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the transplant hepatology fellowships and for teaching and curriculum development in liver disease for New Jersey Medical School students and residents. The successful candidate will also develop independent research programs including a clinical trials program in liver disease and transplant hepatology. The selected candidate will also be responsible to identify and recruit additional liver disease and transplant hepatology faculty for the program Working collaboratively and professionally with University Hospital staff and leadership, the successful candidate will ensure delivery of high quality and effective care in all locations including in the inpatient areas and in all outpatient practices, as well as be responsible for outreach across NJ to promote access to advanced liver disease management and liver transplantation. |
