Job Summary:
The Director, Infrastructure Architecture is a key member of the IT Leadership team responsible for strategic planning and design of technology services, including the overall infrastructure design and build of standard and custom elements of various projects and services. This role works as a leader within the Infra organization, working with Application Developers, IT Engineers, and Enterprise Architects to deliver complete technology services and solutions for the customer, with extensive expertise in infrastructure through middleware services, inclusive of Cloud delivery. The role is responsible for enterprise technology strategy and planning, designing and developing efficient implementations of current services, as well as providing roadmaps and delivery plans for future services and capabilities.Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards. Deliver infrastructure and cloud services through complex technology based projects, services and initiatives Works closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product life cycle. Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. Monitors the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements. Supports product managers in end-of-life product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire services or systems, including applications, technologies, processes and information. Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and their practical application to enable new and evolving business and operating models Analyzes the technology industry, competitors and market trends, and determines their potential implications for a given solution Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise solution portfolio from current to future state, as defined by the solutions architecture Defines the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
Education/Experience- HSD or GED required, Bachelor//Master's Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Requires a minimum of 7-9 years of experience in IT operations or relevant field.
- 3-5 years experience managing solution architecture including Cloud, Network, Storage, Data Center, Virtualization, VDI and project management
- Experience leading technical teams and presenting IT strategy to business partners and managing large budgets
- 2-3 years directly managing direct reports contractors and 3rd party vendors
- Expertise in transformation and modernization of traditional Infrastructure Data Centers into virtualized and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of various backend development languages like Java, Go and Python
- Industry experience in applying application development methodologies and infrastructure into network architecture
- Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL)
- Knowledge of various artificial intelligence/machine learning frameworks (AI/ML)
- Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of a technology architecture like integration, network and security
- Knowledge of financial models and budgeting (mention relevant skills for calculating TCO, applying Finops principles
- Proven analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills
Salary Range:
$150,300 - $205,065This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
