As the editor-in-chief on the enterprise communications planning & channels team, you will set an editorial strategy and vision for storytelling that drives reader engagement and reinforces key themes.
What you can expect:
Responsibilities include taking a holistic approach to communications to reach and influence our key stakeholders across internal and external channels. In addition, you will edit content from others, provide them with guidance to ensure we are enhancing impact while maintaining editorial integrity. You will need a critical eye for positioning, consistency, quality and connection to enterprise and business strategies and communication objectives.
Work with colleagues across Prudential Communications to contribute stories, brainstorm ideas, and collaborate with them about content they are creating for enterprise channels.
Ensure that content has been fact-checked and approved by all key partners, including SMEs, business partners, legal and compliance, as applicable.
Partner with the vice president, enterprise communications planning & channels and director, planning & channels, you will use feedback and insights to understand employee sentiment to re-balance editorial approach as needed. And you will help inject creativity and fun where appropriate, demonstrating sound judgment to ensure content is consistent with our editorial direction and brand.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What youll need:
Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
10 years of proven working editorial experience, ideally with corporate audiences that include external stakeholders.
Great storytelling skills, including an ability to write well, quickly and accurately for a range of audiences and channels.
Ability to capture interest of employees and translate sophisticated ideas or complex information into engaging pieces that resonate with them.
Adept at influencing others and has the ability to provide constructive feedback to others about edits, story angles, design or accompanying graphics to ensure alignment with storytelling priorities, tone, and climate.
Organizational and time management skills to manage and prioritize content in order to meet our expected time frames.
Strong relationship builder who can effectively collaborate with content creators and business partners across the enterprise.
Self-starter who can handle ambiguity and thrive in an extremely fast-paced and changing environment.
High proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $148,800.00 to $201,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
