Are you a highly motivated and resourceful individual? We're looking for someone to join us as a Director, Financial Reporting within the Individual Life Business Controllers organization. In this role, you will work closely with business leaders and support the controllership, financial reporting and internal control activities for the Individual Life Business (ILB). This position also supports the reporting and analysis of quarterly and annual results for the Individual Life Insurance Segment and supporting legal entities.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Producing insightful financial metrics, analytics, and trends for senior management including partnering with Business and Finance Leaders on financial trends and profitable growth opportunities
Supporting strategic and product development initiatives, partnering across various functions including CIO, Investment Operations, Actuarial and Finance Shared Services.
Preparation, coordination and presentation of the Pruco Life and PLNJ legal entity quarterly results to senior management and providing support and analysis for PFI and Pruco Lifes SEC reporting (10K/10Q/MD&A).
Working closely with key business partners, including Finance Shared Services (FSS) teams and Actuarial, to coordinate close process and sign-off on ILB statements, along with respective legal entities
Effectively leading and ensuring ongoing development for a team of two
Supporting control activities (SOX/MAR, etc.) for related processes.
What youll need:
Proven track record to analyze data and the underlying drivers of financial results
Advanced excel knowledge and ability to create and use financial models
Strong accounting background with GAAP and Statutory reporting experience in the insurance industry, including understanding of insurance-related actuarial concepts
Proven ability to thoughtfully analyze, assess, challenge, and influence, creative problem solver; strategic thinker on financial matters
Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and succinct way to peers and senior management
Collaborative and team-oriented style; able to work independently to receive results
Itd be a plus if you had:
CPA designation with public accounting experience

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $148,800.00 to $201,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
