Adecco US, Inc. Linen Services Worker in Newark, New Jersey
A Linen Services Worker position in Newark, NJ is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, you will keep patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and in an orderly condition. This is a temp-hire position starting in December 2024. The hours are Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-9:00pm. Every other weekend and holidays will be required. The hourly pay rate is $21.06/hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizes computer, handheld units, and/or manual entry forms for tracking of linen, as directed.
Stocks and distributes clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
Performs daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed.
Identifies items for repair or replacement and notifies management.
Maintains work area and equipment in clean, working condition.
Inventories and refills linen carts to standard level in preparation for delivery to user departments, including filling and emptying scrub and linen equipment.
Maintains department logs and records of linen statistics.
Collects soiled linen from user departments for pick-up at dock by commercial vendor.
Examines laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
Adheres to, and promotes, linen control policies and procedures.
Stores laundered items on shelves, after verifying numbers and types of items.
Counts and assembles laundered items on cart or linen truck; records amounts of linens and uniforms to fill requisitions; and transports carts to floors.
Conducts inventories to identify items for replacement.
Keeps linen room in clean and orderly condition.
Complies with the attendance policies of University Hospital and the Environmental Services Department in order to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications:
· Cleaning experience highly preferred
· Good work history and attendance
Pay Details: $21.06 per hour
