What you will do
This will be an Associate level quantitative analyst working as part of the ABS credit research team within the public and private Securitized Products Group of PGIM Fixed Income ($118bn assets under management). The successful candidate will work closely with the ABS research and ABS portfolio management teams to help formulate ABS strategy and help monitor the ABS portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing transaction collateral, assigning internal credit ratings, reviewing transaction documentation packages, communicating with investment banking teams, working closely with portfolio management and other internal colleagues to determine investment suitability and relative attractiveness, conducting surveillance on existing investments, and following industry trends.
What you can expect
Develop and implement statistical models for investing in structured products using SAS, Python, R, and C
Provide quantitative and qualitative research used to price investments in the US.
Constructed multi-variate linear, logistic, and cox models to predict prepayments and defaults
Created default models for loans using machine learning techniques such as feature selection, random forest, etc.,
What you will bring
Over 7 years of relevant experience, including several years in the securitized products markets (such as MBS, ABS, etc.)
Experience generating collateral performance assumptions, evaluating credit risk and/or negotiating deal terms
Familiarity with ABF/ABS issuers, intermediaries, and investors
Understanding of database structures and ability to query databases
Solid capabilities in fixed income mathematics
Comfortable running bonds through Intex
Knowledge of SQL and Tableau
Works well as part of a team and enjoys a fast paced, high intensity environment
Advanced degree (MS, MA, or PhD) in a quantitative field (science, math, finance or engineering).

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $165,000 to $175,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
