Job Summary

Supports the development, planning, and implementation of a portfolio of programs that support New Jersey’s Clean Energy Vision. The RES portfolio currently includes Energy Efficiency, Electric Vehicles, and Solar, though this role contributes to the design and implementation of the energy efficiency portfolio, which includes demand response, building decarbonization, and other programs, as needed. This role supports the Program Growth & Strategy team, and the primary responsibility will be the support of the development of EE program plans, including program analysis, coordinating internal stakeholders and the development of presentations, reports and summaries for a variety of audiences including RES senior leadership, executives, joint utility teams, and the RES department. This role will also contribute significantly to the regulatory filing process. Successful candidate will work in a cross functional team and analyze program data, create comprehensive reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide program design, implementation and analytical support for EE, DR and BD programs.

  • Support program development process through benchmarking, research and other analysis which may include reviewing various aspects of the Company’s programs.

  • Represent the department on various cross-functional teams, including Joint Utility teams. Collaborates with other functional groups throughout the Company to ensure program offerings are delivered to market according to specifications and approved Company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate to understand and strategize regarding policy guidance related to energy efficiency targets and programs

  • Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders towards the development of energy efficiency, demand response, building decarbonization and other programs

  • Support regulatory filings related to energy efficiency, demand response, building decarbonization and other programs

  • Support the development, maintenance, data collection, analysis and preparation for weekly and monthly reports.

  • Support program development process by assessing other detailed offerings of related programs so that they can be incorporated into the plan, through development and launch; and subsequent enhancements and offerings; Lead or support new program development initiatives, including process design and systems design.

  • Provide program implementation and analytical support for energy efficiency programs.

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including other RES members, Customer Care, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, etc. as required

  • Identify and implement process improvements and automate where possible

  • Develop and generate ad-hoc reports from existing systems, including but not limited to SAP and other platforms within RES.

  • Assist with special projects as necessary

  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • BS degree and 5+ years relevant work experience including business/financial experience. In lieu of a degree, 9 years relevant work experience and High School Diploma/GED Required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills.

  • Experience in database/spreadsheet management.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously,

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build effective relationships with peers and both internal and external stakeholders

  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of programs (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.)

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Energy Efficiency programs
