Panasonic North America Supply Chain Intern in Newark, New Jersey

Overview

Support Supply Chain team by placing purchase orders, reviewing inventory availability, updating orders, and tracking shipments.

What You'll Get To Do:

Work with Supply Chain Managers and Vendor Payment Coordinator in trafficking invoices through correct departments for approval and payment. Identify pricing and receiving issues and work with vendor and supply chain team to resolve.

Accountabilities

  • Support Supply Chain team in placing and updating Purchase Orders to vendors

  • Assist in processing and tracking 3rd Party vendor invoices and payment status

  • Identify pricing and order quantity discrepancies and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve

  • Update and track status of invoices on Aging in Transit report and identify problem POs and track resolution

  • Track shipments and follow up with vendors for PODs, as needed

  • Work with Inventory Accounting team to update inventory receipts in SAP

  • Run SAP reports and analysis to support Supply Chain team

  • May be assigned other responsibilities and projects as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business or Supply Chain; Sophomore or Junior preferred

  • Some office experience preferred but not necessary

  • Positive attitude and able to learn new skills and take direction

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required

  • Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Communications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly with members at all levels of the organization including Supply Chain, Inventory Accounting, Accounts Payable, Warehouse, Logistics, Order Operations, Master Data and outside vendors

Salary Range

$19 an hour –$30 an hour REQ-147338
