The Prudential International Insurance (PII) Department has an opening for a Treasury Analyst position within the Capital Management team and seeking a self-motivated individual with strong financial analysis and interpersonal skills to join the team.
PII currently supports Prudentials insurance operations in 10 countries outside of the US (Japan, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Indonesia, India, China, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya), which account for roughly half of Prudentials adjusted operating income.
In this role, the Analyst will have a unique opportunity to develop knowledge of PIIs businesses and strategies, including a variety of capital and liquidity concepts primarily focusing on the Japan region. There will be frequent opportunities to collaborate within the Prudential International Insurance Finance Group, the Treasury Department, and the broader Prudential community.
What you can expect:
Play an integral role in International Cash Flow planning and actual reporting including quarterly dividends and capital contributions
Provide treasury support of the International Division, including corporate finance, capital management, borrowing, liquidity and cash management
Partner with Local Japan Operations, Corporate Treasury, Controllers, P&A, Portfolio Management and Tax to complete quarterly capital forecast and actual reporting
Assist with preparations and consolidation of solvency/statutory capital forecast, cash flow analysis, excess capital, balance sheet analysis, and other capital related items
Development of related presentations for senior management including the annual multi-year capital plan, quarterly forecast,
Identify, purpose and execute continuous improvement and data management enhancements that improvement efficiency of the team and reduce operational risk
Support/Lead capital management projects and cash flow generation initiatives
Exact responsibilities of the position may vary depending on the candidates background, skills, and experience.
What youll need:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or related field
Minimum 3 years of related experience (including International experience or in a FP&A, Treasury or Capital Management capacity)
Understanding of US GAAP and STAT accounting
High degree of self-motivation, passion to succeed, ownership mentality and attention to detail
Intellectually curious with a proven ability to drive results and outcomes
Ability to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understand messages that enhances communication to management
Ability to work through issues independently and as part of a team
Experience with creating quality PowerPoint presentations and messaging to senior management
Proficient use of MS Office suite.
