Plant Controller Location(s): Newark, OH, US, 43055-5893 Function: Finance and Accounting Audience: Experienced Professional Work Arrangement: On Site Requisition ID: 62745 PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Plant Controller provides financial leadership to the Newark Plant. This position will be accountable for driving results to the segment manufacturing financial leader and maintaining a control environment that complies with the Company's internal control policies and Sarbanes Oxley. The Plant Controller is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management. Reports to: This position reports directly to the plant leader with strong reporting accountability for driving results to the segment manufacturing financial leader. Serve as Office & Administrative Pillar Co-Leader Financial and Operational Controls * Ensures that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.) * Drives a robust representation letter process that provides assurance and visibility to a sound internal control environment * Leads the Continuous sign-off process to ensure that accountability for internal controls is clear and that processes are documented Reporting & Analysis * Leads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes * Prepares and delivers the plant financial forecasts and projections to Plant Leader * Monitors the plant's monthly closing process in conjunction with the Accounting team * Communicates results effectively to management and non-financial personnel * Provides in-depth analysis on variances to plan and forecast with the Plant Leader as well as holding leadership accountable to plant budget. * Provides risk analysis for contingency planning Driving plant profitability * Leads actions in line with achieving targets, mitigating risk and prioritizing resource needs * Leads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial results and shareholder value is optimized. * Provides insightful and competitive analytics that anticipate change and drive decision making * Provides investment analysis * Assists in contract evaluation and negotiation * Educates plant personnel on key performance metrics Cross-functional leadership and team contribution * Works across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant, division, or corporate objectives * Supports plant events and leads/pa
