Job Summary: • In this role, you will coordinate, organize, and supervise production process methods and engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which achieve production demand. Responsibilities: • Sustain manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts and organization, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product / process quality. • Evaluate or create, and execute innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturing processes and techniques which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems. • Find opportunities to employ process automation. • Provide and maintain hand tools, point of use stations, kanban supermarkets, and 5S tool solutions. • Create work instruction documents, job breakdown sheets, and standard work for area processes. • Support RIE/Kaizen events with ideas and tangible OPEX application. • Provide periodic training and feedback for proper assembly or lean tools for various production departments. • Propose design change requests for improved manufacturability and standardization. • Review Deviations and Design Change Notices for feasibility in existing manufacturing process. Key Competencies:

• Manufacturing engineering knowledge.

• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery within the plants and any complimentary certifications.

• Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools.

• Ability to identify areas for improvement and problem solving.

• Willing to train by working alongside production team members.

Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude.

• Actively practices and promotes safety. Requirements:

• Strong mathematical skills.

• Ability to train others.

• Basic knowledge of various Microsoft Office applications.

• 2 yr technical degree or current pursuit of technical degree a plus

• Welding or fabrication experience a plus.
