Job Title: Deposit Operations SpecialistJob Description
The Deposit Operations Specialist will work under the supervision of the Manager of Deposit Operations as part of the Deposit Support Team. This position will be responsible for providing support and assistance with the day-to-day deposit operations, offering deposit services, and reporting functions that support the Credit Union. The goal is to deliver world-class service to meet and exceed internal and external members’ needs.
Responsibilities
Perform the basic functions of ACH reconciling and share draft exception items.
Process address/return mail and verification.
Perform basic member service responsibilities including answering questions, e-requests, and researching and resolving member issues.
Provide basic electronic product maintenance and member support including VISA Credit and Debit card programs, IRA accounts, ACH, ATM inquiries, and wire transfers.
Carry out basic accounting-related work such as cash letter preparation, certificate maintenance, managing overdrawn accounts, handling legal restraints, processing IRS and NYS tax levies, filing, and regulatory reporting.
Handle Visa Credit and Debit card dispute and fraud claims in accordance with Visa’s Operating Guidelines and Regulations.
Process payrolls, return checks, and ProPay transactions.
Perform responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations, credit union policies, and procedures.
Cross-sell credit union products and services where appropriate.
Recommend changes to improve workflow efficiency.
Model and promote the behaviors of the Credit Union’s core values and actively work to enhance the member and employee experience.

1+ year of banking experience as a bank teller, banking CSR, finance representative, etc.

Work Environment
This is a part-time role with the option of 3 eight-hour shifts or 5 five-hour shifts. The team consists of 10 people and is very team-focused. The primary work location is in Newburgh, NY, with potential training in Middletown if the training team cannot accommodate locally.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00
