Salary Range: $70K-$90K
A Herc Manufacturing Operations Manager will support the shop in a variety of activities. The roles primary duties are to work with the production staff to develop and implement improvements to material flow, productivity improvements, safety, and equipment utilization. A culmination of all responsibilities will flow into expertise of developing and maintaining reports to support business continuity. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated self-starters.
- Lead projects to plan, build, and create synergy along the value chain of production
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously to support a culture of safety and efficiency
- Ability to develop, organize and maintain structured bill of materials
- Instruct shop line production staff on daily duties and assign tasks
- Build lines of communication between the shop floor through corporate entities
- Comfortable with office work as well as applying hands on activities in the shop
- Utilize lean manufacturing techniques including but not limited to 5S
- Leverage experience in fabrication processes including welding of steel and aluminum and jigs & fixtures design and fabrication to contribute to flow of materials to finished product
- Research, identify, justify and implement new technologies and methods for the manufacture of products.
- Support all team members
- Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols
- 2 year technical degree or trade school experience or equivalent manufacturing experience
- BA/BS University degree
- Proven track record with a minimum 10 years of outside sales experience within the heavy equipment and/or construction markets preferred
- Organized and logical critical thinking skills
- Well versed in computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PP and CAD)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs
