Position Overview:

The role of Master Planner at Subcom is to create quarterly / annual production Forecasts, generate capacity-based exercises for potential new projects and business changes, provide leadership to Production Schedulers within group and to drive manufacturing challenges and issues to resolution.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic impact, knowledge, skills, and scope of responsibility:

  • Create and maintain annual / quarterly Manufacturing Forecasts for each applicable Focus Factory area.

  • Collects, collates, and analyzes data sets to create manufacturing business recommendations for improved efficiencies.

  • Provides capacity-based analyses for project quotes and business changes.

  • Maintain Forecasted revenue targets, highlight issues daily and provide recommendations for solutions.

  • Serves as a leader for the Production Schedulers – helps to autonomously resolve production concerns with colleagues and team.

  • Provides direction to Operations and Support Staff.

  • This position requires a high degree of integrity and the ability to drive for world-class products.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical writing, typing, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • BA / BS recommended – equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Ability to convey critical manufacturing information to Senior Leadership in a professional and presentable manner.

  • 3+ years manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

  • 3+ Planning, Supply Chain or Project Management experience required – equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of Planning experience.

  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues.

  • Ability to identify business risks and escalate with solutions as necessary.

  • Ability to make independent, informed decisions.

  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles recommended.
