Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Reviewing and understanding contract plans and specifications - Developing submittal and production drawings using AutoCAD and or 3D BIM Software - Preparing material orders - Understand, use, and maintain/update department standards - Perform quality control reviews on internal and external drawings - Manage communication and planning between external design consultants and internal Project Managers - Work Closely with Engineering Staff, Sales, Operations and Quality Control to ensure the products are built according to design - Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed - Other duties assigned as needed Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but may vary depending on work-load. Work from home options may be available. Compensation: $26.08-$39.12/Hourly Minimum Qualifications: - Two year Associate degree in Drafting and/or equivalent work experience - AutoCAD 2018 or higher experience preferred - 3D Modeling is a plus (Revit, Inventor) - Must possess the ability to read and interpret sketches - Ability to read construction plans (Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP) - Basic mathematical skills - Good verbal and written communication skills - Proficient in Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, etc.) - Self-starter, motivated with ability to start and finish a project on time - Attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize is a must - Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and overtime - Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members Preferred Qualifications: - Proficient in BIM Software (REVIT or Tekla Structures) - Structural or Manufacturing based drafting experience - Ability to lead other drafting technicians - Ability to Develop Drafting standards Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits: -Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance -Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts -401K with Company Match -Profit Sharing -8 Paid Holidays -Paid Time Off -Life Insurance -Employee Assistance Program -Safety Incentives -Years of Service Recognition How To Apply: To be considered for this position, candidates must complete and submit an employment application at jobs.kniferiver.com by the posting deadline noted above.
