Elite Comfort Solutions Chemical Technician in Newnan, Georgia

Job Summary: The Chemical Technician is primarily responsible for the safe unloading and storing of chemicals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continual basis. It does not exclude other duties that may be assigned.) o Load and unload truckso Weigh and/or measure quantities of varying types of chemicals o Build troughs o Grade buns and transfer to correct location o Mix ingredients in proper sequence and proportions o Ten mixing or compounding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, pressure, color, or other variables. o May perform blending, filtration, or other related operations. o Maintain batch time, weight, color, heat, production and/or other records as require o Observes gauges, meters, and panels to monitor operating conditions. o Maintains records to comply with ISO 9000 requirements and standard operating procedures. o May operate forklift, cut-off saw, and other various hand tools such as air powered tools. o Makes certain that all areas are kept clean, especially containment in the event of a spill. o Ensure that the proper disposal of materials are completed. o Take inventory and assist in maintaining inventory levels. Railcar Chemical Unloading: (Specific Facilities Only) o Load and unload railcars. o Ensures site security to prevent vandalism to railcars. o Ensure that all areas outside are kept clean, especially containment in the event of a spill. Qualifications, Knowledge, Education and Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
