The Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for gathering all customer forecasts, historical demand plans, and incremental opportunity buy quantities and blending them together for an inventory planning goal. Will drive Demand Planning portion of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring data validation and presenting plan to Executive Leadership.

What kind of things will you be doing as Demand Planner?

  • Demand Forecasting:Create and maintain demand forecasts, taking into consideration various factors that influence demand such as historical data, market trends, and customer inputs.

  • Statistical Model Optimization:Continuously refine and tweak statistical models for forecasting to achieve the best fit with historical data, using advanced modeling techniques where necessary.

  • KPI Monitoring and Improvement:Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting and planning, such as forecast accuracy, bias, and demand variability. Develop strategies to improve these KPIs.

  • SIOP Reporting:Prepare comprehensive reports and insights to present at Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) forums, enabling informed decision-making based on demand forecasts and plans.

  • Collaboration:Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to gather data and insights, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and business goals.

  • Promotion Planning:Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and execute align on the promotional % lift, ensuring that demand forecasts account for increased sales during promotions.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to demand planning, such as supply chain disruptions, and develop contingency plans to minimize impact.

  • Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline demand forecasting and planning processes.

    To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain and/or Business Administration preferred.

  • Advanced Supply Chain Planning certification from ASCM (APICS) / ISM preferred.

  • 4+ years’ experience in demand planning/supply chain experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • 2+ years' ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).

  • Experience in consumer goods & wholesale with import/ export knowledge preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, with advanced usage of VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and cell reference formulas.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of inventory planning process, including rolling ending inventories based on production & sales. Demand or material planning experience a plus.

  • Must have expertise pulling and manipulating reports from data systems such as MS Dynamics 365 and PowerBI.

  • Will interact daily with Operations, Customer Service, Supply Planning Analyst and Material Planners, reporting findings back to Demand Planning Manager.

  • Accurate and timely records maintenance.

  • Ability to influence and hold Sales and customer service partners accountable.

  • Will interact daily with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Planning Analyst and Material Planners, reporting findings back to Demand Planning Manager.

  • Sense of urgency around communication.

  • Ability to influence and hold operations and customer service partners accountable.

  • Proactive task orientation, with willingness to make phone calls to facilitate prompt information.

  • Meeting preparedness by cross checking multiple sources.

  • Skilled and effective communication and interpersonal skills required.

  • Process minded (process improvement suggestions and implementation a plus).

  • Excellent critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • A bias for solution focused communication.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

  • This position may require up to 5% travel to other facilities/locations.
