Insight Global Fixed Asset Accountant in Newport, Kentucky

Job Description

A manufacturing company in the NKY area is seeking a 100% onsite direct hire, Fixed Asset Accountant. The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for day to day accounting and compliance items. Reporting to the Fixed Asset Controller, this role ensures adherence to guidelines for acquisition, maintenance, retention and disposition of fixed assets. As a part of the Finance team, the Fixed Asset Accountant would be a self-starter that thrives in a high paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

A Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for but not limited to the following:

Fixed Assets

Title and registration administrative compliance

Record fixed asset journal entries

Complete balance sheet reconciliations

Monthly depreciation reconciliation and posting

Held for sale accounting

Prepaid license accounting

Assist in the preparation of data for insurance renewals

Track cash receipts for used equipment sold

Assist the Fixed Asset Controller on upcoming purchases, and managing cash flow to ensure budget compliance as well as supporting borrowing base audits and appraisals

Skills and Requirements

  • Fixed Asset Accounting Experience (3+ years)

  • Finance/Accounting Degree

  • Depreciation experience

  • Strong Excel experience (VLookups, Pivot Tables, etc)

    • Industry experience: leasing equiment, trucking, rentals, machinery, etc
  • JD Edwards experience
