What You'll Contribute

The Senior Associate of Business Controls will be responsible for strengthening the control framework within the Chief Commercial Officer organization, support project management of control initiatives, and documentation of process flows for existing and new processes. You will also address and remediate findings from internal and external reviews and collaborate with the key stakeholders to obtain approvals for marketing tactics.

What You'll Do

  • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal controls program that addresses risks identified through process assessments while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with project management of key initiatives, including coordinating with stakeholders, executing assigned tasks, and monitoring the timely execution of deliverables to facilitate the implementation of the department’s control framework. Effectively communicate project deliverables and timelines with executive management.

  • Create and update process documentation for existing and new process workflows.

  • Prepare reports on the internal controls program status and provide regular management updates.

  • Assist in coordinating with external and internal auditors/examiners to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and exams. Work with business and auditors to ensure remediation plans are actionable and timelines can be achieved.

  • Work both independently and as a core team member, exhibiting strong relationship management and negotiation skills.

What you have

Minimum education, skills and experience required.

  • Understanding of internal control frameworks and regulations, including COSO, SOX, and other relevant standards.

  • Ability to collaborate with other control professionals to assess, document, and test controls.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve control issues.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, can effectively communicate with colleagues and executive management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and competing demands.

Preferred education, skills, and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal controls, audit, risk/compliance, or related field.

  • Project Management experience preferred.

  • Six Sigma green belt certification or other process, risk, and control experience is a plus.
