ISG PIEDMONT LLC Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in NEWTON, North Carolina

- Fields maintenance request from shop employees and finds resolution in a timely manner
- Use of testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits from 24v - 480v ac/dc.
- Read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Performs monthly Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all equipment, schedule and assist with Crane PMs
- Have defective parts repaired or replace parts ordered as directed by the Plant Engineer
- Performs miscellaneous duties as needed
- Make sure tools and supplies are properly stored
- Monitor stock of miscellaneous supplies
- Monitor daily check off sheets (crane, forklift, etc.) and resolves issues as listed
- Fabricating guards, safety controls and other fixtures as needed
- As repairs/fixes are made explain to operators and Engineer what was done to equipment
- Performs miscellaneous duties as needed

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited school
- Two-year degree program or an apprenticeship in the millwright or maintenance mechanical/electrical field.
- Two years of experience as a maintenance mechanic working in Industrial Maintenance.
- Five or more years of work experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Must be at least 18 years of age, be willing to work at heights, work in extreme heat and cold
- Must be willing to be on call to answer operator questions
