Immediately hiring machine operators in the Newtown, PA area to work for a full time and long term opportunity for this manufacturing company. The machine operators will set-up and operating molding presses to produce basic rubber or metal and rubber bonded parts, must have the ability to operate and maintain proper running procedures from verbal instructions and process sheets. Prior experience working in a manufacturing/ production environment, mechanical knowledge/ aptitude, and experience operating and operating production machines will be required for this role.

Description:

• Perform limited duties to set-up and operate molding presses to produce basic rubber or metal and rubber bonded parts. Must have the ability to operate and maintain proper running procedures from verbal instructions and process sheets. Will have to assist in setting up molds on various occasions.

• Must be able to locate materials and inserts. Must follow proper procedures for taking materials and inserts. (Examples, signing out preform trays, taking bag of inserts with oldest paint date first, etc.)

• Will monitor presses for proper time, temperature and pressures. Must become knowledgeable of critical areas of parts on all jobs.

• Will be required to complete time sheets, SPC Charts and process sheets in an adequate, legible and accurate manner.

• Must notify trainer or immediate supervisor of any perceived problems, faulty equipment, defective materials or unusual conditions.

• Ability to use pry bars, measuring gauges, and basic hand tools, lifting of up to approximately 40 pounds, read and understand English.

• Carry molded parts to designated staging area for next operations.

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly manner

• Follow prescribed safety rules and company regulations.

• Perform other duties as required and/or directed.

QUALIFICATONS:

• Ability to stand on their feet for 8 hours a day.

• 1+ years experience operating some sort of machine in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred (extrusion machine would be a huge plus)

• general mechanical aptitude

• using hand and power tools
