Liberty Home Care is a licensed home care agency and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider. The DME CSR is responsible for the intake of sales and client inquiries for DME and supplies.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. This position is fully in-office at our Niagara Falls location.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Handles and processes all verbal and electronic requests for medical equipment.

• Verifies client insurance information.

• Confirm insurance eligibility, co-pays, and effective dates of coverage before filling order(s).

• Ensure all information/documentation required for billing claims to insurance provider(s) is collected and completed. Including but not limited to CMN’s, prescriptions, and physician’s orders.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents.

• Ensure ongoing documented communication with staff and referral source/client regarding progress of order processing and any related issues.

• File and retain documents based on regulatory requirements and Liberty policies.

• Arrange for delivery of products.

• Contact insurance providers and clients regarding any outstanding payments or co-pays.

• Continually maintains and updates internal electronic system used to track client’s activity, process orders, and bill clients.

• Stay current with changes to DME billing and intake practices as governed by the industry.

• Collaborate with designated individuals on record reviews, audits, and quality initiatives.

• Prepares reports as directed.

  Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED

• Experience with insurance billing and durable medical equipment preferred

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook
