Director of Facilities

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Facilities to lead the planning, development, and maintenance of our organization’s physical infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure our facilities are safe, efficient, and aligned with the company’s long-term goals. You will oversee all facilities, grounds, and EVS personnel, manage budgets, handle vendor contracts, and ensure compliance with safety regulations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Supervises, trains, counsels and evaluates all subordinates.

  • Ensures compliance of all subordinates to both company and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Possess the ability to create operating and capital budgets along with the ability to adhere to those budgets to be cost effective and efficient.

  • Responsible for the efficient coordination and supervision of Maintenance, EVS, Grounds and Hotel Maintenance Associates throughout the project complex.

  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), construction, and maintenance practices.

  • Assist in developing and managing a preventative maintenance program and schedule, to protect the assets of the Company.

  • Select, train, and supervise all Maintenance, Grounds and EVS associates.

  • Develops Departmental Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and Company safety policies.

  • Interact with guests, vendors and other departments to achieve company and departmental goals.

  • Advise management of repairs, replacements and maintenance necessary in assigned areas.

  • Coordinate and delegate maintenance, grounds and custodial work for all departments.

  • Ensures the cleanliness of the Property is maintained to company’s standards.

  • Ensures that all systems in the Facilities are in working order and properly maintained per company standards in order to create a comfortable environment for guests and associates.

  • Work closely with Risk Management to ensure safety for the Company’s associates and customers.

  • Schedule outside training for maintenance department, i.e., hazardous material training, fire prevention training, etc.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Manages subordinate supervisors and Managers who supervise all Grounds, Maintenance and EVS Department associates. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or GED required. Four to six years Facility Management experience required.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Computer literate in appropriate software. Excellent oral and written skills preferred. Strong organizational skills required. Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), LEED accreditation, or other relevant certifications preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While on the Project Floor, the noise level is loud.
