Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain provides accurate reporting and analysis to key stakeholders. This position collaborates cross-functionally with the Transportation and Supply Planning teams from Supply Chain while supporting the Market Unit (MU) and Corporate FP&A analysts from Finance indirectly. The Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain develops accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) estimates, forecasts/budgets for the Transportation team’s P&L, and networks optimization projects in conjunction with the Logistics team.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Calculate COGS by working cross-functionally to assemble input costs by component including commodities, manufacturing conversion rates, and transportation expenses
Perform cause of change analysis versus prior year to provide insights into COGS changes impacting the MU’s P&L’s
Maintain accurate product sourcing and provide updates as new requests emerge
Develop routine forecasts and an annual budget for the Transportation team’s P&L
Analyze month end Transportation variances and build an executive summary of the results
Support the Logistics team on strategic projects, i.e., sourcing decisions and make versus buy analysis
Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 4 plus years of Accounting/Finance experience or HS Diploma/GED with 7 plus years of Accounting/Finance experience
Experience in a distribution or manufacturing corporate environment supporting Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) or Financial, Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to make recommendations to senior management/key stakeholders
Detail-oriented and process-oriented mindset
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to work independently
Strong decision-making skills
Ability to comprehend systems and their functionality including Business Intelligence tools
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Experience:
Master’s degree
CPA
Experience in Consumer-packaged Goods, Food or Beverage industry
Anaplan experience
Snowflake experience
Alteryx experience
SAP experience
Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies
