DT Professional Services Jira-Confluence Developer in Norco, California

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Jira-Confluence Developer to join our team in supporting the Department of the Navy! In this role, you will leverage your expertise in problem solving and software development. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing the functionality and efficiency of the Navy's Jira-Confluence environment. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, creativity, and a solid understanding of data integration and reporting tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software enhancements to Jira-Confluence capabilities to support customer’s needs

  • Maintain and enhance Jira-Confluence apps to support the Department of the Navy’s integration of workflows and documentation

  • Create custom Jira-Confluence workflows and reports, ensuring they meet user requirements and are user-friendly

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions

  • Maintain and update Jira-Confluence applications and workflows to improve efficiency and functionality

  • Ensure all developments are in compliance with Department of the Navy’s cybersecurity standards and protocols

  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on Jira-Confluence functionality 

    Basic Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ or IAM II or higher Certification

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance

  • 3+ years of experience in Java development, including JavaScript, Java Server Pages, and other programming technologies

  • Demonstrated expertise in Jira-Confluence

  • Experience developing in the front end, backend, and middleware tiers

  • Proficiency in XML and JSON

  • Knowledge of how to interface with SQL Server

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software Development certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Prior experience working with the Department of the Navy or other military/government environments

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions

    The compensation range for this position: $115,000 - $120,000 annually.
