Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Modified/Certain personnel of the DoD Direct Hire Authority. Responsibilities You will monitor and oversee the installations of SE and ALRE systems aboard US Naval vessels as the government On Site Installation Coordinator. You will coordinate between shipyards and NAWCAD Lakehurst on all facets concerning aeronautical spaces/air launch weapons systems and related equipment installations. You will surveil installation work performed by the Alteration Installation Team (AIT) in accordance with the AIT Managers Quality Assurance Plan. You will identify and implement methods to eliminate or reduce problems and barriers in meeting installation goals and objectives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring or performing the installation of equipment/systems and support services, e.g., electrical power, lighting, air conditioning, ventilation and communication systems aboard aircraft carriers to ensure conformance with operational requirements. 2) Reviewing shipyard drawings and providing action/information for the correction of errors in installation drawings. 3) Furnishing technical guidance to shipyard design personnel engaged in preparing aeronautical/air launch weapons installation working plans. 4) Writing technical reports covering all assignments, outlining conditions found, difficulties encountered, corrective action taken and recommendations for improving the installation of the equipment Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/1100/industrial-specialist-series-1150/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
