Job Summary

Telework is supported at 50%. Travel is not required.  Directly support NIWC Atlantic Regional Shore Installation Managers (RSIM) in the day-to-day responsibilities of overseeing all aspects of the NIWC Shore Installation and Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) processes. Candidate shall work with RSIMs to ensure required deliverables for shore installations are developed, utilized and stored in the SPAWAR Enterprise Technical Data Repository (SPIDER) and the MODTracker databases.

Responsibilities and Duties

Using the MODTracker and SPAWAR SPIDER Installation databases, to track installation status for all tasks in the RSIM’s Geographic Area of Responsibility. Communicate with Project Engineers to ensure task status and SITREPs are accurate and up-to-date, track status of installation documentation deliverables, and ensure installation documentation deliverables are uploaded to the SPIDER Technical Data Library and ready for RSIM review and approval. At the direction of the RSIM, candidate shall develop draft Weekly Activity Reports (WARs) identifying and detailing issues requiring upper management attention, status of ashore installations in progress and readiness status of future ashore installation. Provide Project Manager with a brief monthly activity report detailing activities, accomplishments, and issues.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

Must have at least six (6) years of  practical experience supporting NIWC Shore Installations. Competent with Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Expert with the SPAWAR SPIDER Installation and MODTracker Installation Databases. Familiar with the NIWC Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH). 

Education Requirements

High School Diploma, Navy background is preferred.
