Childrens Hospital of The King's Daughters Nursing Care Partner in Norfolk, Virginia
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient populations under the direction of the RN.
Completes non-clinical procedures appropriately under the direction of the RN.
Performs other duties as assigned.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Meets minimum education, certification and/or experience requirements below.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must meet one of the following requirements:
Actively enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program with completion of at least one semester of clinical rotation.
Previous Nursing Care Partner experience at CHKD (within 2 years).
Completion of the nursing student extern program at CHKD.
Graduate of an accredited nursing school program (without successful completion of the NCLEX board exam).
Certification as a nurse assistant.
Certification as a Medical Assistant.
Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician.
• CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Frequent exposure to communicable disease and moderately adverse working condition due to performance of certain patient care activities.
