SOLUTE Careers Senior Program Analyst - ASW Reconstruction & Analysis Support in Norfolk, Virginia

Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Program Analyst - ASW Reconstruction & Analysis Support to provide on-site support to our customer in Norfolk, VA.

The desired candidate has experience at the senior-level to include supervisory experience who will review program-specific data, evaluate program plans and changes, and assist in the preparation of documents with various senior leaders, civilian, and military stakeholders.

The hired candidate must be able to analyze program information, strategize plans, produce quality analytic work in the form of information papers, white papers, briefs, executive correspondence, and effectively present the results in a clear and concise manner when required. They will also utilize time and GFE to accomplish their tasks successfully and promote program efficiencies.

The following capabilities are typical of support tasks:

Equivalent of event planners, trainers, response cell, data collection, and assessment; after action reporting, policy analysts, instructors (i.e., journeyman instructor), courseware, and doctrine developers; scenario developers and event execution support staff.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience with SONAR systems to include qualification on the major systems of the SQQ-89 sonar suite.

  • 3 years of experience as shipboard sonar supervisor on the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15.

  • 2 years of experience in acoustic analysis or ASW reconstruction.

  • Minimum of 8 years in the following:

  • Subject matter expert for respective task requirements (e.g. Academics, Warfare Area(s), Program or Policy support).

  • Navy and/or Defense training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures.

  • Managing/ prioritizing large, complex projects involving numerous stakeholders.

  • Team and/or project leader.

  • Leading working groups and cross functional teams.

  • Leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables.

  • Engaging Senior Staff at the Flag Officer/Director/Manager level.

  • Conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study.

  • 10 years of experience is required if no degree is held.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD issued Secret security clearance.

  • A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Support Tasks:

  • Provide reconstruction and analysis (R&A) for real-world ASW events, exercises (ex: SCC Ops), theater ASW (TASW), basic phase, SWATT, and advanced phase / SG Ops.

  • Coordinate with Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) to receive range data from live tracking events for utilization in R&A.

  • Conduct Virtual ASW Sensor Training Tool (VASTT)/Visual Interactive Simulation Training Application (VISTA) training utilizing tape drives (DLT/LTO) to support the AN/SQQ-89 SONAR suite, specifically with regards to active, passive and system-level tape processing.

  • Conduct in-depth evaluation and analysis of ASW weapons firing for on and off range events using firing reports.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of electronic and hard copy data package elements to provide reconstruction feedback and debrief of ASWC events.

  • Provide a comprehensive debrief to shipboard personnel to include:

  • Data Collection Package handling

  • Logkeeping

  • Environmental Analysis

  • SONAR System Setup

  • Weapon Settings

  • Weapon firings (specifically accuracy)

  • Tactical maneuvering of the vessel

  • Target Motion Analysis

  • Provide regional ATG ASW Trainer/Evaluators with tailored shipboard remediation plans at the watch team and watch stander level based on executed events.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
