Job Title: Shop Welder

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Shop Welder to perform primarily MIG Welding in our Fabrication Shop. This position involves working on the night shift. Responsibilities include staging and positioning materials for welding, setting up materials in jigs as directed, proficiently MIG welding parts together using mild steel, maintaining records of tasks and time, and performing other duties as directed by the Shop Lead.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SUFFOLK, Virginia.

Work Environment

The Fabrication Shop is a typical shop environment and is not climate controlled; it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The night shift runs from 5pm-3:30am Monday-Thursday, and 3pm-11pm on Friday. Night shift workers receive a $2 differential. Candidates must be open to working on Saturdays, although weekend work is rare.
