Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant/Analyst in the commercial property industry, located in Norfolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including processing and analyzing financial data, using automated financial systems, and providing effective customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and analyze complex financial data and transactions

• Utilize automated financial systems, particularly for report writing and accounting record analysis

• Develop and evaluate options to solve complex problems related to accounting

• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, receivables, and payables

• Prepare and analyze a variety of fiscal reports, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions

• Use PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software, such as Word and Excel, to record, reconcile, monitor, and report data

• Maintain effective customer service and problem-resolution techniques when dealing with diverse customers

• Interpret and apply administrative policies and procedures with sound judgement

• Perform month-end close tasks, including account and balance sheet reconciliation

• Utilize knowledge of commercial property accounting to adapt accounting principles and methods to diverse fiscal needs. Requirements

• Proven experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding and experience of working with General Ledger

• Ability to accurately prepare and maintain Journal Entries

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite software

• Strong skills in Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Experience or knowledge in the Commercial Real Estate industry
