Microchip Technology Senior Engineer II - Design (ET-MN) in Norristown, Pennsylvania

Design creative protocol according to specifications requirements. Understand the business requirements and work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, customer solution engineering and product management teams to design and develop the functionality and translating into related applications. Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design. Perform functional and non-functional testing, troubleshooting and debugging of applications. Design hardware/software integration while working with hardware/algorithms with teams to deliver an integrated solution. Identify and communicate possible risks along with preventive and corrective measures. Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines. Prepare unit-testing code for robustness, including test cases, usability. Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update, and add new features. Telecommuting permitted.

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field plus two (2) years of related experience.  Will accept Bachelor's degree followed by five years of progressive, related experience in lieu of a Master's plus two years' experience.
