TIPPER TIE Division within JBT Corporation is a worldwide supplier of processing and clip packaging machines. Our products are used by some of the largest food manufacturing companies in the world. As our Electrical Service Technician– you will report to the Director of Program Execution. On a given day, you may: Perform set up, testing, and calibration of new machines. Perform troubleshooting of industrial machines including refurbishment and repair. Work with operations, engineering, and assembly teams to understand the configuration, setup, functionality, and components used on equipment. Document results and findings from equipment functional tests. Troubleshoot equipment issues by phone or video with customers Travel to customer sites to assess equipment repair needs. Requirements for the role Associates degree or equivalent experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, PLC, control systems, mechatronics, robotics, and/or assembly systems Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment 1 year of experience working within a Field Service or manufacturing environment Experience reading blueprints, electrical, and pneumatic schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of operation. Ability to troubleshoot electrical machinery Experience with PLC, HMI, Servo Drives/Motors, and Safety PLC systems Travel & Location This position in 100% onsite at our facility in Apex, NC with travel to customer sites up to 30% when needed Why work at JBT ...
