SAIC Logistics Analyst in NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Analyst to provide day-to-day, onsite operational logistics maintenance and support of electronic systems, workstations, and servers for the US Navy’s Computer Network Defense team in No. Charleston, SC . SAIC is looking for a motivated, adaptable individual with a background in DoD Logistics, willing and able to help out on mission critical operations in support of NIWC LANT.

Job Description:

  • This position will be responsible for maintaining inventory in CMPRO database to track material and software across multiple builds and variants, organize hardware parts and integral build components, and account for inbound/outbound equipment and material.

  • Prepare Navy documentation to include TMRs/RIPS/MFRs/RMAs/DD1149’s for processing, DRMOing, shipping, and receiving of equipment.

  • Tracking and analysis of End of Life (EOL)/End of Support (EOS) and DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) for project assets.

  • Perform Inventory control and maintain project assets (GFE/GFM) in CMPRO and Navy ERP in accordance to Command FIAR compliance.

  • Assist with PHS&T (packaging, handling, storage, and transportation) as needed.

Travel: Anticipated travel is up to 10%, both CONUS and OCONUS destinations. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's and three (3) years or more of logistics experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.

  • Must be proficient with using CMPRO as a logistics management tool to include knowledge of serialization, establishing master part records, receiving serial number requests from suppliers, and issuing serial numbers for parts, and running inventory reports.

  • Experience with RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes, researching and assigning National Stock Numbers (NSNs), and building and maintaining a Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Candidates for this position will need excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities and tasks.

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.

Required Security Clearance:

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance and have eligibility for Top Secret.

Desired skills:

  • Professional Logistics certifications.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Word).
