Supply Planning Analyst Overview

The Supply Planning Analyst will support the Global Supply Planning (GSP) team in business-relevant continuous improvement projects. The GSP organization is responsible for controlling the flow of product to support the market demand from affiliates and direct customers, and coordinates and oversees the production and distribution of all globally manufactured products for AbbVie. The Supply Planning Analyst will have the opportunity to learn first-hand how supply planning and inventory management works in a large, global organization, while supporting the business with specific continuous improvement projects that will be determined closer to the internship start date to ensure they are business relevant and impactful.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead or support projects that may involve, but are not limited to, brand-specific scenario planning, brand-specific launch or discontinuation activities, master data review within JDA planning system, documenting and organizing current processes and internal team knowledge, and continuous improvements related to everyday planning processes.

  • Support necessary integration activities as it relates to creating the new combined global supply planning organization following the integration of Allergan.

  • Take ownership of select weekly and/or monthly planning processes, helping the intern learn the business and gain first-hand exposure to supply planning in a large organization.

  • Network and learn about other functional areas within supply chain and the broader AbbVie organization.

  • Present outcome of projects and assignments, including conclusions and learnings, to department management and broader supply chain team at conclusion of the internship.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or other related field

  • Expected graduation date between Dec 2025 - June 2026

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to SAP ERP and/or JDA planning system is a plus, but not a requirement

  • Critical thinker: ability to assess and solve problems independently with minimal guidance

  • Proactive and results-driven mindset; self-starter

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in required software including Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
