Job Description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Line Mechanic to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to gain experience in plant equipment maintenance and machinery operations. An additional hourly rate increase will be applied after the training period when you move to the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.

• Execute changeovers on machinery by making necessary adjustments and setting up machines according to production runs.

• Repair, troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair filler equipment, conveyors, labelers, printers, and other equipment necessary for filling, labeling, and packaging products in various container sizes.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Experience with automotive repair

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Knowledge in troubleshooting, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and pneumatics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Great attitude and willingness to learn

Work Environment

Large, fairly clean chemical company facility. The environment is supportive, and you will be teamed up with an experienced mechanic for the first 3-6 months to ensure you receive the necessary training and support.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
