Job Description

As an AbbVie Human Resources (HR) professional, you’ll be a trusted partner helping to shape our culture, support our business strategies and find and develop talent necessary to make a remarkable impact on AbbVie patients around the world. You will leverage best-in-class HR practices to continually construct, deliver and support programs that establish AbbVie as an employer of choice while empowering all employees at all levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the effective delivery of all HR programs and services; in collaboration with local, regional and global colleagues, including hiring/recruiting, employee relations, organizational design and changes, performance & talent management, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion. Understand and comply with federal and local employment regulations.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions for the International Marketing & Commercial Operations organization. Advise leaders on HR policy and guidelines.

  • Responsible for the diagnosis, development and delivery of HR strategies, programs and services that influence and drive the needs of the respective business.

  • Establishes, builds and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from all Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs.

  • Prioritize critical projects based on business need and available resources.

  • Must be able to understand and utilize historical and broad organizational data when weighing business HR decisions and actions.

  • Must be able to think creatively across a wide breadth of business segment(s) as well as deep into the respective organizations.

  • Significant Work Activities -Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 6+ Years of HR Business Partner OR 2+ years of HR Business Partner and 4+ years of related HR experience, preferably supporting multiple organizational functions or business units.

  • HR business partner experience.

  • Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities and impact on the business.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Workday.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent.

  • SPHR Certification.

  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business.

  • Demonstrated understanding of organizational development activity.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
