Job Description

The Manager, Learn & Develop is an exciting role dedicated to enhancing the skills, knowledge, capabilities, and ultimately performance of AbbVie employees by leading the design and delivery of our award-winning, Learn Develop Perform (LDP) delivering world-class content through engaging methods, technologies, and formats enabling all employees to contribute to AbbVie’s mission more effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for Learn Develop Perform, ensuring alignment with AbbVie's overall learning and development goals. Manage the program's budget, resources, and timelines to ensure successful implementation and delivery.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including CHRO, VP Talent, HR business partners, subject matter experts, and senior leaders, to align strategy and incorporate their input into the program. Build strong relationships with senior leaders and internal/external partners to enhance the program's impact and reach. Partner across all functions around the world to create awareness and support of LDP.

  • Stay current on workplace and skills trends, and emerging technologies in the learning and development field. Identify and implement innovative methods and technologies to deliver content effectively and efficiently to all employees, considering their diverse learning preferences and needs.

  • Continuously research and identify world-class content and experts that align with the needs and interests of AbbVie employees. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to curate a diverse range of learning materials.

  • Ensure delivery of Learn Develop Perform through various mediums like webinars, articles, and micro learning, making sure content is engaging, interactive, and accessible to all employees, regardless of their location or role within the organization.

  • Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of Learn Develop Perform. Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement to continuously raise-the-bar on LDP.

Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8 years experience in Learning and Development, Learning Technology, or related discipline.

  • Strong leadership skills coupled with executive presence, with the ability to inspire and influence resulting in strong alignment and engagement at all levels.

  • Innovative, global, strategic mindset

  • Technologically savvy with experience in learning technology, platforms, and delivery to meet the needs of today’s learner while anticipating the future.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of building solid relationships across all organizational levels.

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Demonstrated success in marketing and implementing programs and initiatives in large organizations through internal and external channels.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
