Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Analyze, define, formulate, plan and execute a selling program for Teledyne TapTone equipment
into global markets
Maintain TapTone’s global pipeline on a daily/weekly basis to guide Teledyne TapTone’s business and manufacturing planning
Identify, hire and motivate manufacturer’s representatives to sell TapTone products. Establish goals and provide technical and sales assistance to the representatives. Administer programs to monitor the sales performance of the representative network. Schedule and administer representative sales in the territory
Participate in decisions with engineering, production, accounting and top management to guide future and current business
Attend and support trade shows and professional societies such as PMMI
Assist in the creation of promotional and advertising materials
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering, plus 5-7 years’ experience selling technical equipment, preferably related to liquid filling or inspection, in the food and beverage industry
Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with interpersonal skills
Comprehensive understanding of liquid applications and related technologies
Ability to learn and understand complex technical requirements
Experience with managing Regional Sales personnel and Independent Rep Organizations in the Packaging Industry
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Have comprehensive knowledge of TapTone product line
Have comprehensive knowledge of liquid filling, capping and related processes within the beverage and food industries
Have ability to review an application and apply the correct product offering for a successful solution
Proficient on Microsoft office products
Excellent organization, leadership and communication (written and verbal) along with presentation skills to effectively interface with all levels inside and outside the organization
Possess the ability and talent to close a sales opportunities
Ability to navigate complex sales environment, Miller Heiman or other sales process training preferred
Salesforce experience a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a global team
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Regional Sales Representatives
Independent Sales Rep Organizations in the Packaging Industry

Physical demands :
Willingness to work/travel as required regardless of day of week
Travel up to 50% of time, via air, car or other as required
Extensive walking, standing and bending when conducting customer plant visits and trade shows
Work Environment :
Professional office environment and/or home office
Occasional work in manufacturing environments when conducting site visits of customer facilities
This position requires periods of working behind a desk, with extensive typing for quote generation, order entry and performing tasks on the computer
Extensive phone work, with customer follow up and lead generation
Considerable walking, standing and bending during customer plant visits and trade shows
