Position Summary
This position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and installation of equipment for various departments within a Jensen Precast branch.
Principal Accountabilities
Utilizing a variety of tools, repairs and performs preventative maintenance to equipment throughout the plant and building as required by company guidelines. Inspects equipment to ensure it is in good working order; replaces damaged parts of equipment with new parts; orders parts and installs appropriate parts to machinery; welds parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed. Assists with minor electrical repairs.
Reads drawings and recognizes whether the cranes are set up properly; sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing; makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
Completes welding, assembles hydraulic cranes and troubleshoots as needed.
Collects and discards worn machine parts; cleans machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns,hoses, vacuums, or other equipment; removes hardened material from machines or machine parts using abrasives, power and hand tools, sledgehammers, or other equipment; measures, mixes, prepares, and tests chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Experience with overhead cranes - preferred
Electrical experience.
Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, welding torches etc.
