Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Order Entry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to learn quickly, and exceptional attention to detail. You will be responsible for accurately entering customer orders into our system, ensuring all information is correct, and providing a seamless customer experience from order placement to delivery. This role requires someone who can manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with internal teams and customers, and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter customer orders into the company’s database and ensure all details are correct.

  • Review and verify order information, including pricing, product codes, shipping details, and customer specifications.

  • Provide timely and professional customer service via phone, email, or chat to address inquiries and resolve any issues related to orders.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and customer support, to ensure timely order processing and delivery.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of order status and follow up with customers to keep them informed of any changes or delays.

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in order information and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to order fulfillment.

  • Stay updated on product offerings, pricing, and promotions to assist customers with their orders effectively.

  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.

  • Proven experience in order entry, data entry, or a related administrative role.

  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and issues with professionalism and patience.

  • Quick learner with the ability to understand and navigate order processing systems efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM or order management software is preferred.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
