Opportunity Overview

As a Demand Analyst for Teradyne, you will be responsible for forecasting material, aligning to customer requirements, and managing overall inventory pipeline while adhering to planning policies and goals for your assigned SOC platform/product. Use strategic planning to interface with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and New Product groups to set and maintain the master schedule and inventory positions in support of company objectives.

  • Analyze operations methodologies to formulate, plan and implement required changes to systems, processes, and functions to support revenue growth and inventory objectives of the division.

  • Analyze trends to better improve forecasting methods and accuracy.

  • Analyze and understand supply and manufacturing constraints and resolve.

  • Use MRP software to simulate business scenarios. Identify inventory risks, constraints, and liability profile.

  • Closely manage the transition of a legacy products life cycle as a new product cannibalizes demand.

  • Present quarterly updates to finance and operations on excess and obsolete inventory.

  • Provide management with inventory risks, liability profiles, and customer changes in demand that impact the business.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or 4 years of related experience

  • 5+ years of industry experience focusing on supply chain, inventory/business analyst, MRP or demand planning

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Thorough knowledge of MRP and demand planning

  • Expertise in use of MRP tools (e.g. Kinaxis RapidResponse) and Excel

  • Ability to present at upper-level management meetings
