ARAMARK Environmental & Sustainability Manager - Grand Canyon - North Rim in North Rim, Arizona

Job Description

Based at the Grand Canyon Lodge, North Rim; the Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Manager is responsible for program development, tools, and training in regards to the compliance and sustainability for the park

Support the on-site operations team in the implementation of site level management systems and lead team, and support environmental and sustainability systems and all associated action plans

  • Implement an ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System that exists on site

  • Complete Environmental data collection and reporting process (Environmental Management Program report, Waste, water, energy, procurement)

  • Drive zero waste efforts and TRUE zero waste certification

  • Support environmental contract requirements including LEED elements in renovations

  • Support the development and implementation of additional environmental and sustainability strategies within Grand Canyon National Park including waste diversion, energy and water conservation, etc.

  • Support development, execution, tools and training within the Park in conjunction with support and operational teams

Job Responsibilities

Based at the Grand Canyon Lodge, seasonally, North Rim; the Environmental/Health Safety & Sustainability Manager is responsible for program development, tools, and training in regard to the risk, compliance and sustainability for the park.

? Support the on-site operations team in the implementation of site level management systems and lead team, and support environmental and sustainability systems and all associated action plans

? Implement an ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System that exists on site

? Complete Environmental data collection and reporting process (Environmental Management Program report, Waste, water, energy, procurement)

? Drive zero waste efforts and TRUE zero waste certification

? Support environmental contract requirements including LEED elements in renovations

? Support the development and implementation of additional environmental and sustainability strategies within Grand Canyon National Park including waste diversion, energy and water conservation, etc.

? Support development, execution, tools and training within the Park in conjunction with support and operational teams

? Support Management team with updating Risk Management Plan.

? Develop and maintain risk management strategies and action plan as part of Master Scheduler system.

? Conduct Risk assessments and analyze the potential impact of identified risks.

? Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

? Coordinate response to risk-related incidents and crises.

? Develop and deliver risk management training programs for staff.

? Collaborate with various departments to identify and address risks.

Qualifications

? Bachelor?s degree preferred in related field (Environmental policy, environmental health and safety, sustainability processes)

? Experience related to environmental issues including concrete tactical environmental experience required. Experience in hospitality or facilities services and/or corporate experience strongly preferred

? Proven leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and build relationships, and ability to lead without formal authority are required.

? Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, and ability to take calculated initiative.

? Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and project management experience are a must.

? Strong oral and written communication skills (including public speaking) required.

? Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
