Description
Position Summary: The Director of Marketing will oversee the marketing team and support/develop major comprehensive proposals and all marketing-related initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute the development of comprehensive responses to Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other client-based deliverables in collaboration with our leadership team and various internal departments.
Review, edit, and proof documentation for grammar, readability, precision of language, etc.
In conjunction with our leadership team, lead the development of strategic qualifications packages, internal and external presentations, and other marketing materials that capitalize on A/Z's strengths and the interests of our clients.
Develop team member resumes from the project database.
As required, support printing, trimming/binding, assembly of pre-qualifications, proposals, and presentations.
Identify missing content, strategy, and requirements in deliverables and coordinate/draft responses as appropriate.
Travel to various locations providing support to regional offices, attend on-site events, and visit A/Z project sites as appropriate.
Support the development, review phase, and editing of project database and review database accuracy.
Support development, review, and edit a range of internal and external corporate communications.
Clearly understand and implement all A/Z branding standards. Research and evaluate competitor and peer company marketing efforts while monitoring market trends to identify marketing improvements.
Manage department proposal and marketing workload for team members throughout all regions.
Develop and maintain assets to include branding elements.
Review and ensure quality control/assurance of all deliverables.
Develop tailored, meaningful proposal content and design for assigned sections, with editing and rewriting guidance from the leadership team.
Build and maintain a proposal development and marketing team company wide.
Develop and oversee training for all team members.
Overall day-to-day administration of the department including all related payroll, time-off requests, and HR functions.
Responsible for project photography corporately.
Review, engage, and maintain vendor relationships.
Develop an annual marketing budget and maintain/track spending.
Develop, manage, and maintain department SOPs and orientation programs.
Develop, manage, and maintain corporate marketing (LMS) training programs.
Lead team member performance evaluations, goal setting, career path development, and team-building efforts. Manage corrective actions as necessary.
Manage and support the development of marketing materials such as corporate communications, brochures, internal and external mailers, safety signage, and trade show materials.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills including prioritizing, scheduling, and organization.
Effective management of multiple ongoing assignments/deadlines.
Maintain compliance with all HR policies, department practices, and marketing SOPs.
Knowledge of the construction industry and terminology required.
Required Skills / Training Requirements:
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite to include InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Proficiency and excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and related software.
Proficiency with current Windows operating systems and various browsers.
Support the evaluation/beta test and implement emergent technologies.
Maintain various software platforms such as Filemaker, Monday, DAM, etc.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
Over 10 years leading large, major project proposals and executing marketing initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Related.
Physical Demands:
Supporting various physical requirements such as lifting a minimum of 20 lbs. and motion to include sitting, lifting, squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
