Olivia Quinlan from Robert Half Technology is hiring for an IT Manager (Software) in Buffalo, NY.

The IT Manager role involves supporting the business needs of the company by providing day-to-day IT support, software programming, and contributing to strategic business projects. This position requires a high level of competency and trustworthiness, working closely with all employees and coordinating with company leadership, including the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Department Directors, as well as occasional interaction with external vendors.

Responsibilities include ensuring the functionality and user support of the company's ERP system and software, collaborating with internal and remote employees as well as external suppliers. This involves creating, presenting, and maintaining Business Intelligence KPI dashboards, fostering cohesive teamwork within the IT department, ensuring effective communication and task management. Additionally, the IT Manager supports team members in resolving software and hardware-related issues and serves as the primary point of contact with external software vendors. The role also involves on-call availability after business hours as required, with flexibility to undertake other assigned duties.

Requirements

This role particularly seeks individuals with a strong software development background, capable of providing expertise in coding and programming tasks. Key qualifications and skills include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analysis, information systems, or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of three years’ experience in IT support, software development, software implementation, and business data analytics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products, ERP systems, and advanced PC software skills, particularly in Office 365, DAX, and SQL, are essential. Basic networking and Windows Server skills, familiarity with RDBMS and Oracle SQL Developer, ability to write queries and run scripts, and knowledge of data visualization are also required. Familiarity with Active Directory Administrative Center (ADAC) and basic understanding of internal IT controls assessment, development, and monitoring are advantageous.
